My system is pretty old-school. I use a Burns Splitsonic, Roland G707/GR700 and a cheap Saturn Electric going through a Loop Station, A Boss delay and a Line6 Guitar Pod into a mixer then into my mac via USB. Everything except the Boss is linked with midi cables to keep everything in time. I record some parts as clean samples and use Garageband to change the sounds and build the tracks. Otherwise I use the Loop Station and set up each part with the different guitars, run that as backing track and jam over the top. Usually with the Saturn or the Roland. For Glistening Fish I used an Ebow with the Saturn.
